Helping to weigh and unload cars at "Go Green Girl!" project, Earth Day 2008!

The girls worked really hard and collect together 464 pounds of products they could recycle for Earth Day.

Miranda helps a girl from Troop 269 to dump her collection of alumnium cans in the recycle dumpster. It was a great day and this is the first of many "Go Green Girl!" project for Miss Southeastern Virginia's Outstanding Teen.

Miranda was invited to read to students in her brother's class at Springfield Park Elementary. She read "The Wump World" which teaches children about the importance of environmental awareness.

These are the students in Mrs. Newton's second grade class. They were awesome!

Miranda helped her friend Jessica East at the A.S.K. Run and Walk at Short Pump Town Center to sign up participants. The A.S.K. organization helps families of children who are diagnosed with cancer.

Miranda and Jessica met all sorts of people and things at the A.S.K. walk. Jess is a ten year cancer survivor! Now that is something to celebrate!!!

This picture was totally taken for Miranda's brother!! HAHA! More interesting creatures at the A.S.K. Walk.

Miranda had the chance to preform for the residents at the Beth Shalom Center in Richmond.

I had fun with all the kids that showed up at the festival. We did facepainting and gave them fake tatoos. (See what the baby was pointing at. HAHA!)

Lexie and I. What a great friend! We had a great time that day.

The next day we walked as a group raising money for Juvenile Diabetes Research. These girls are awesome!

I was asked to preform at Sunrise retirement community. I really enjoyed talking with all the residents.

I even got to crown the Queen for a Day! What a honor!

and .... I got to sing! Love that!

Later that day I went to Roanoke to cheer on our good friend Emily Hall. We are so proud of her!
